When Neesha came to the shelter in early February, she was terrified. Despite our best efforts to help her acclimate, all she would do is hide in the corner. As an 8-9 year old spayed lady, adjusting in a new environment can prove to be challenging. Luckily, Neesha is sweet and loving and seems to want interaction with people. She is still unsure and reserved - but we have found that if you offer her some ear scratches, she will nudge closer and closer to make sure you don't stop! And then she starts purring and you are her new best friend. We just love seeing her begin to trust and feel comfortable. We do think that Neesha may need help and patience from her adopter once she gets home. Please be willing to give her time to learn that she is safe again. When Neesha arrived, she had some fur-loss. We have been monitoring it and making sure she gets the proper nutrition and care and her fur is growing back in beautifully! Neesha was brought in with several of her older kitty friends and currently lives in the cat gazebo with them. It is not a requirement that she is adopted out with them but if you are wanting more than one "senior" feline friend, please consider Neesha and/or her friends!
